Well, maybe third time is a charm! I contacted Terry and seems there's some problem they had to work out.

You can see what a huge snake it was.

Yikes!!!

I hope you don't mind my butting in.....but I need to learn more about the nature of Snakes!

My Dad always said not to kill a Black (Rat) Snake. He firmly believed that they kept poisonous snakes at bay.

Is this true?

I never heard that one. Not sure if I believe it though. If a snake is poisonous then I would think that it would win over a rat snake.
My mom used to tell me if you touched a baby bird it would die.

but hay, I'm no herpatologist!

Hi Susan:

I had heard that all my life too and so I just did a Google Search on "Do non-posionous snakes eat other snakes"? Yes, the King snakes eats other snakes and the Brown Water snake eats baby rattlers. I am sure there are more, but hey, that is enough for me. I am glad they do, but I'd just as soon they all stay out of my yard. I wear knee rubber boots when checking my trail, even with my shorts. I am not taking any chances with any of them.
